For most bands, a decade is a milestone. For Bengaluru-based Desi Rock powerhouse Oxygen OnThe Rocks (OOTR), it is the culmination of ten years of relentless passion, artistic evolution, and an extraordinary journey across India's live music landscape.

Marking its 10th anniversary, the band has unveiled its latest independent single and music video, "RAASTA," a heartfelt musical tribute to the road they have travelled together. Released on World Music Day 2026, the project celebrates not only the band's musical achievements but also the friendships, challenges, victories, and unforgettable moments that have shaped their story over the past decade.

A Decade Built on Music and Brotherhood

Founded in Bengaluru, Oxygen OnThe Rocks has grown from a passionate group of musicians into one of India's most sought-after Hindi Rock and Desi Rock acts. Over the last ten years, the band has carved out a distinct identity through its energetic performances, original compositions, and seamless fusion of contemporary rock with Indian folk and Sufi influences.

The band consists of:

  • Souvik Chakraborty – Founder & Lead Vocalist
  • Anish Chakraborty – Guitarist & Vocalist
  • Arnav Sengupta – Bass Guitarist
  • Gbo – Drummer
  • German Sarkar – Percussionist
  • Sushen – Keyboardist
  • Ashutosh – Flautist & Vocalist
  • Rajdeep Roy – Manager

Their decade-long journey has seen them perform at more than 2,000 live events across India, entertaining audiences at corporate gatherings, cultural festivals, brand activations, conferences, gala evenings, and private celebrations.

From Bengaluru to Mumbai, Hyderabad to Jaipur, Kochi to Guwahati, and across more than 35 cities nationwide, OOTR has built a reputation for delivering electrifying live experiences that connect deeply with audiences.

The band's original music catalogue has also earned widespread appreciation. Songs such as "Yaaron Ki Yaari"—featured on MTV India through McDowell's No.1 Yaari JamPad—along with tracks like "Pehchaan," "Aye Dil Bataa," "Jeet," "Umeed," "Manchala," and "Amar Shohor Kolkata" have showcased the band's commitment to meaningful songwriting and contemporary Indian rock music.

“RAASTA”: A Song Inspired by the Journey

More than just another release, "RAASTA" serves as the emotional centerpiece of Oxygen OnThe Rocks' tenth anniversary celebrations.

Written as a reflection on a decade spent chasing dreams, overcoming obstacles, and creating memories together, the song captures the essence of every artist who chooses passion over certainty. It is a tribute to perseverance, friendship, and the transformative experiences that shape both musicians and people along the way.

Blending elements of Indian Indie, Hindi Rock, and modern Desi Rock-pop, "RAASTA" delivers an uplifting sonic experience driven by powerful lyrics, soaring melodies, and an unmistakable sense of optimism. At its core, the song reminds listeners that life's greatest rewards often lie not in the destination, but in the journey itself.

For OOTR, "RAASTA" is deeply personal—a musical thank-you to the fans, collaborators, cities, stages, and moments that have defined their first ten years.

Bringing the Vision to Life

The anniversary project has been realized through collaborations with some of the industry's most respected creative partners.

The production and visual execution of "RAASTA"has been powered by Sennheiser India, reinforcing the brand's continued support for India's independent music ecosystem and live-performance culture.

The accompanying music video was shot by Dream Artisans Photography, while the visual concepts, graphics, and storytelling elements were crafted by 1dbproductionz. The band also acknowledged the ongoing support of Hungama Artist Aloud, a platform that continues to champion independent artists and original music across the country.

Looking Ahead

As Oxygen OnThe Rocks enters its second decade, "RAASTA" represents both a celebration and a promise—a celebration of everything the band has achieved so far, and a promise that the journey is far from over.

Reflecting on the milestone, the band shares:

"Ten years, thousands of performances, countless memories, and one shared journey. 'RAASTA' is our story—and the road continues."

With an ever-growing audience, a catalogue of original music, and a decade of experience behind them, Oxygen OnThe Rocks now stands poised for an exciting new chapter—one driven by the same passion and authenticity that started it all.
