Children received school kits under the Ready for School program of a Not for profit organization, BrighterME Foundation.

New Delhi On 15th July 2022,a book and stationery kit Distribution program “Ready for School” was organizedfor children aged 3-8 years in Anganwadi centre of Kishangarh slum area in ​Delhi by a not for profit Organization BrighterME Foundation in partnership with Altezzasys Systems (a global IT consultancy organization).

 

Under the program "Ready for School", books and stationery materials were distributed to the childrenin an Anganwadi centre in Kishangarh.Crayons, colouring books, creative clay modelling sets, notebooks, pencils and many other educational items were included inthe kit. In addition, educational and play materials such as Blocks, Alphabet and Number puzzles, Abacus, Slates, Toys like fruit and vegetable sets, etc. were provided to Anganwadi centres located in Kishangarh area.

 

The children were very excited after getting all these materials.In this program, the Honorary Director of BrighterME Foundation, Dr. Jayanti Prakash and team member Vishwa Prakash were present along with ICDS supervisor Mrs. Rajbala Sharma.The event was attended by the children, their mothers and Anganwadi workers.

 

Addressing the event, Dr. Jayanti Prakash said that the educational material distributed will help to increase the learning level of children and prepare them better for the primary schooling.

 

Also,these materials contribute to creating an attractive environment in the Angawadi centers and encourages children to attend the center on a regular basis.

 

Dr Jayanti Prakash shared that before organizing the program Ready for School, BrighterME Foundation did a detailed need analysis and identified the children as well as Anganwadi centers which were in need of such educational material.

BrighterME Foundationhopes to conduct more such events in order to encourage children to attend Anganwadi centers and schools in a post covid environment.

 

BrighterME Foundation is a not-for-profit organization working for education and skill development of underprivileged children and youth.
