Delhi Film Academy Honoured with “Best Film Making Institute” Recognition at Pride Bharat Awards 2026

Delhi Film Academy (DFA) has added another significant milestone to its journey by being honoured with the “Best Film Making Institute” recognition at Pride Bharat Awards 2026 – Season 6, held on 6 June 2026 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dwarka, New Delhi.

The recognition was awarded in appreciation of Delhi Film Academy’s contribution to film education, practical training, and its continued efforts toward preparing the next generation of filmmakers, photographers, and digital content creators.

Over the years, Delhi Film Academy has built its identity around an industry-oriented and practical learning approach, designed to bridge the gap between education and real-world production environments. The institute focuses on giving students direct exposure to professional workflows rather than limiting learning to classroom theory.

One of DFA’s most recognised programmes is its 1 year Filmmaking & Photography Diploma (15-Month), developed to provide students with extensive hands-on experience and practical understanding of production pipelines. Originally structured as a one-year diploma, the programme has now been extended to 15 months with the integration of a dedicated 3-month A.I. Filmmaking module, ensuring students gain exposure to both traditional filmmaking and emerging creative technologies.

A distinctive feature of Delhi Film Academy’s learning model is its practical production-based approach to education. Instead of a traditional final examination, a student at DFA will make an OTT web series funded by DFA as part of the diploma programme. Through this process, students get hands-on experience in development, production, shooting, teamwork, and execution while working in an environment designed to reflect real industry filmmaking practices and professional standards.

In addition to practical production exposure, Delhi Film Academy also offers a 6-month Advanced A.I. Filmmaking Diploma, where students learn AI-assisted filmmaking workflows across pre-production, production, and post-production to create future-ready content.

This achievement also reflects the vision of Mr. Abdur Rehman, Founder and Director of Delhi Film Academy. With experience in filmmaking, fashion, advertising, and media education, he has built a practical learning environment for aspiring creators.

Mr. Rehman has received recognition at the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival, participated in international film events including the 48th Marin County International Festival, California, USA, and earned 40+ international awards.

His experience also includes working as Line Producer and Creative Director for Channel One Russia, along with web series and fashion projects.

The recognition ceremony was held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Dwarka, New Delhi, where Delhi Film Academy received the honour in the presence of industry guests and participants from multiple sectors. The award was presented by Indian actress and model Ishita Dutta, making the occasion memorable for the DFA team. The recognition was associated with Insights Success Media, and the certificate was signed by Manish Bansal, Director, Insights Success Media.

Receiving the “Best Film Making Institute” recognition marks an important moment in Delhi Film Academy’s journey and reinforces its commitment to innovation, practical learning, and industry-connected education.

With this achievement, Delhi Film Academy continues its mission to empower aspiring creators and contribute to the future of Indian cinema, digital storytelling, and next-generation media education.
