Gandhinagar, 04/08/2025 - In a landmark achievement for transparency and governance, the Gujarat State Information Commission disposed of 10,000 Right to Information (RTI) cases in the past year, ensuring zero pendency. Chief Information Commissioner Dr. Subhash Soni announced this milestone today while inaugurating new public-friendly digital initiatives, including an AI-powered podcast and updated RTI guidebooks.  

 Key Highlights:  

- 100% Case Clearance: The Commission has no pending RTI appeals, reflecting its commitment to timely grievance redressal.  

- Digital Transparency: Over 250 significant Commission orders uploaded on the revamped official website ([insert link]) for easy public access.  

- Policy Reforms Approved: The state government has implemented the Commission’s recommendations, including:  

  - Free provision of up to 5 pages of RTI information.  

  - Permission for citizens to photograph documents instead of costly photocopies.  

  - Sharing information via pen drives/CDs to reduce paperwork.  

 New Public Outreach Tools Launched:  

  1. Three Updated Pocket Booklets: Simplified guides on RTI procedures for citizens.  
  2. AI-Generated Audio Podcast: Enhances accessibility for diverse audiences.  
  3. Social Media Dissemination: Key orders and awareness campaigns shared via YouTube and Facebook.
