TUSHAR KIRAN MOODGAL
Tushar Kiran Moodgal is a multiple world record holder and an award winning poet and writer hailing from Shahdara, East Delhi. He has co-authored more than 25 poetry anthologies and his first poetry book "Lamentations" won the "William Shakespeare Golden Book & Laureate Award" for 'Best Poetic Book of The Year 2023'. He cites William Wordsworth, John Keats, Edgar Albert Guest and Edgar Allan Poe as his inspirations amongst others and credits his father to have instilled in him a love for literature and written word.Tushar has been writing since his teenage days however he has started getting his works published fairly recently. His poetry has undergone significant changes over the years. Starting out his poetry was filled with a lot of angst. During his college days he wrote quite a lot about heartache, anxiety issues and depression with a very nihilistic approach. However with time his poetry became philosophical in nature. He is a firm believer in the teachings of the Geeta and is a strong advocate of the Stoic philosophy.
Tushar made multiple world records in 2023 for his poem "Rhapsody Of Twilight" and made it to the Inkzoid Book of Records, Glorious Book of Records and Candid Book of Records. He was honoured with the prestigious "Bharat Vibhushan" by the National Book of Records and the "Maharishi Valmiki Bhartiya Gaurav Samman 2023" for his contribution to Contemporary Literature particularly his philosophical poetry. Tushar Kiran has a passion for Philosophy, History and study of political behaviour in societies and its affects on culture, which led him to pursue a master's degree in Political Science and International relations. He also studied Japanese language at St. Stephens's College, Delhi University.
Tushar has worked as a sports journalist for independent media platforms such as Vrinsidesports, Game Has Just Begun, and Bleedsport. He is a diehard fan of the English football giants Chelsea F. C. and is currently the serving club secretary for the Delhi chapter of the Chelsea India Supporters Club.
