Modern Talking has been a lifelong influence for Ronald. “Their music was always around me as a child. While I knew the hits like You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul, my appreciation deepened with lesser-known gems like Romantic Warriors. That album revealed the real magic of their discography.”
The collaboration began when Michael Scholz, a founding member of Systems In Blue and one of Modern Talking’s original backing vocalists, reacted to one of Tridev’s previous covers. This caught Ronald’s attention: “I was genuinely impressed by Tridev’s interpretation. His production quality and emotional connection to the music stood out.”
Also featured in the project is Tathagata Das, further enriching the cover with layered instrumentation and atmospheric depth. Together, the trio reimagines Lucky Guy with soaring choirs and lush harmonies that echo the iconic 80s sound—made possible through Ronald’s unique multi-track vocal layering technique. “I record in the Systems In Blue style—multiple takes, harmonies, and unison blending. It creates that immersive, full choral texture fans adore.”
For lovers of synth-pop and those longing for a touch of retro magic, this cover is more than a tribute—it's a sonic bridge between past and present, connecting generations through timeless music.
